Founded by a Survivor

When she began talking openly about her history of childhood sexual violence on youth station Y-FM, Andile did not only save the life of the young girl who was on the brink of committing suicide, she provoked national debate on issues of gender equality and empowerment of women.

She put on the spot light, the debate on freedom, from fear, abuse and violation and indeed fears of men.  This debate led to the Founding of  the Open Disclosure, whose agenda is to ensure zero tolerance to sexual, violence, provide support, treatment and care to victims of sexual violence.

In schools and communities, the foundation is today know for being the voice of the vulnerable groups, women and children who on a daily basis are faced with the challenge of survival.
